Disaster recovery for your Plesk server.
One extension protects every domain on the server: backups to a locked Cold Vault, checks from several locations, and a standby copy your visitors are sent to when the server fails.
What it adds to Plesk
Managed from Plesk, next to your domains.
- A DR protection tab on every domainBackup status, standby health and one-click failover and failback, per domain.
- Full Plesk backups to the Cold VaultFiles, databases and mail, encrypted and copied away from your server and your hosting company. Weekly, monthly and yearly copies are locked so nobody can change or delete them, not even with the server's own keys.
- Standby copies and failoverWhen at least two locations agree the site is down, visitors go to a recent copy. Fail back with changes copies orders, posts and mail back to your server first.
- Server settings backupThe Plesk server's own settings are backed up every day too.
- For resellers and customersA DR protection page for each reseller and customer, limited to their own sites.
- Automatic updatesUpdates are signed, and the extension can install them by itself.
Install
Needs: Plesk Obsidian 18.0 or later, on Linux or Windows. Standby copies of Windows sites are in beta.
Create a DRSite account
Sign up. Each site gets 30 days free, no card needed.
Add your Plesk server
In DRSite, choose Add site → Plesk server. You get the extension and a one-line install command for Linux or Windows, or you can upload the extension under Extensions in Plesk.
Connect it
Paste your DRSite API key into the extension. Your domains appear in DRSite, and the first backups start straight away.
